PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of a piezoelectric actuator by which a driving frequency of the piezoelectric actuator is prevented from being locked in a resonance state by harmonics and a circuit can easily be miniaturized without the need for installing an external component for a filter.;SOLUTION: The driving device 50 is provided with a phase difference-DC conversion circuit 53 detecting the oscillation state of an oscillating body 910, a comparison circuit 54, a harmonics detection circuit 52 detecting that the oscillating body resoates by the harmonics and outputting a harmonics detection signal, an integrating circuit 55 controlling a frequency of a driving signal supplied to a piezoelectric element of the oscillating body, a variable frequency oscillator 56 and a driving circuit 57. The integrating circuit 55, the variable frequency oscillator 56 and the driving circuit 57 control the frequency of the driving signal based on an output of the comparison circuit 54 when the harmonics detection signal is not outputted. While the harmonics detection signal is outputted, a driving frequency is not controlled based on the output of the comparison circuit 54 and the frequency of the driving signal is continuously changed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
