摘要

An antenna array is often used as an adaptive antenna. In this paper, we present a method that makes a linear antenna array work as an adaptive antenna with some optimal characteristics. The design for an optimal radiation pattern of an adaptive antenna can suppress interferences by placing nulls at the directions of the interfering sources so as to increase the Signal Interference Ratio (SIR). Here we apply the genetic algorithm to a linear array and the adaptive radiation pattern of the array is derived through phase-position perturbations. The genetic algorithm is applied to find the optimal radiation pattern of the proposed adaptive antenna. Computer simulation result is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
