Analyzing the continuous change on the location and shape of spatio-temporal objects over time is important to LBS rose to a killer application in a next -generation wireless internet. Sptaio-temporal databases are important to store the real-time location information of large spatio-temporal objects efficiently and retrieve them rapidly. Accordingly, necessity for spatio-temporal database system that can manage spatial information, aspatial information and temporal information of spatio-temporal objects is increasing. However, in conventional spatio-temporal data models, there are two problems as follows. First, the size of database is increased rapidly because a lot of data between neighboring point of time are stored in duplicate. Second, the execution time of temporal operation become s slow in proportion to the size ofdatabase. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a spatio-temporal data model that is able to efficiently manage historical spatio-temporal objects information varies dynamically as time. Also, various spatio-temporal operations and constraints are defined to keep integrity of spatio-temporal data and spatio-temporal operations.
