摘要

Passive and semi-active vibration control strategies are investigated by experiments conducted on a SDOF system with magnetorheological damper. The frequency response functions and r.m.s.output to filtered white noise input, obtained in the passive case, are compared with those determined by using semi-active control strategies such as "balance logic" and "skyhook". It is shown that by appropriate settings of the control current supplied to the magnetorheological damper, the system vibration level can be appreciably lower than that of the passive system.
