Two-Dimensional Bar Codes Recognition System Based on the Linear CCD

As a new information storage and transmission technology, two-dimensional bar codes have been used widely in the world. At the same time, two-dimensional bar codes recognition equipment expensive price restrains its further popularization. In this paper, we proposed to apply one-dimensional linear CCD on the two-dimensional bar codes recognition. Furthermore, we introduced in details corresponding key technologies such as data capture, data decoding, data transmission and data processing, etc...On the basis of non-increasing extra hardware cost, the system was proved to be capable of reading two-dimensional bar codes as well as traditional bar codes reliably.
