In order to improve the testability design standards of warship product, the 4 information collecting methods of fault diagnosis and prediction for all levels warship product were proposed based on the research of PHM application technology, including information collecting of product function status, information collecting of product anomalies, information collecting of product working environment and information collecting of preset injury scale. Then, the applicability of these 4 methods were analyzed and the results show that PHM is still a developing technology and there is so much disadvantage waiting for be improved while using the PHM. Simultaneously, a task-based test modeling method of warship product was proposed in this paper, which could solve the fault D-matrix model by the task-based graphical model of warship product with the direct analysis method or first-order correlation column vector method, as to provide a technical basis of establishing the product fault tree. At last, a modeling example based on the typical task of surface warship's diesel generator set was given, and the results show that this test modeling method has intuitive and efficient fault diagnosis capability so that it could be a new idea for the testability application research of warship product.
