Robotic tilt table including a function for cyclical stepping movement with foot plates has been used for rehabilitation of severely disabled individuals. Improvement of cardiopulmonary performance with the device was investigated, but there has been little work to investigate how kinematic patterns of stepping movement are different from movement patterns when using an end-effector type gait trainer. Stepping movement that seems very simple may be effective as close to walking as possible through kinematic analysis of segments and pattern modification. This study aimed to compare the kinematic characteristics of lower extremity during rehabilitation with a robotic tilt table (ErigoPro, Hocoma AG, Switzerland) and an end-effector type gait trainer (G-EO System Evolution, Reha technology AG, Switzerland).
