In this paper a general design of a low phase noise and wide tuning range injection-locked (IL) LC-voltage control oscillator (VCO) has been proposed. The circuit simulation is done by Cadence Virtuoso Analog Design Environment using SCL 180nm CMOS process. The simulated results show that tuning range of the VCO which ranges from 22.2 to 83.5 MHz which corresponds to 115.9% tuning range for control voltage ranged from 0 to 1.1 V. The simulated output phase noise at o Eiset frequency of 1 MHz is -162 dBc/Hz. The power consumption of the VCO is 12.2 μW at 1.8 V supply voltage.
