A study on architectural type and usage pattern in old town area of Xiamen City Taking Qilou streets as case study

摘要

By classifying the architecture into four types, the featuresand the usage pattern of architecture and street in old townarea of Xiamen were made clear. It was also clarified that theusage pattern of street and architecture is changing along witharchitectural types. In some of the places, a variety of activitiescan be observed, while in some other places, people do not tendto have outdoor activities, which is worth further research.
