A study on architectural type and usage pattern in old town area of Xiamen CityrnTaking Qilou streets as case study

摘要

By classifying the architecture into four types, the featuresrnand the usage pattern of architecture and street in old townrnarea of Xiamen were made clear. It was also clarified that thernusage pattern of street and architecture is changing along withrnarchitectural types. In some of the places, a variety of activitiesrncan be observed, while in some other places, people do not tendrnto have outdoor activities, which is worth further research.
