摘要

The global competitive environment that is undergoing a constant change, needs implementation, progress, and enhancement of information technology in the hospitality industry. In order to increase operational efficiency and to gain sustainable IT (information technology) enabled combative advantage hotels are widely adopting and employing different information and communication systems in their operations. The customers' satisfaction is essential for hotels to gain repeat business; therefore, hotels have to adopt new communications tools and technologies that lead to an understanding of customers' requirements with respect to the supply of facilities. Under the circumstances, the drivers who enable hotels to achieve sustainable competitive advantage and barriers that hinder adopting must be explored with respect to response lag. Thus, the present paper in directed towards exploring barriers and drivers to gain an IT-enabled competitive advantage.
