摘要

Recent wireless standards are expected to offer very high data rate. They use OFDM for high data rate communication. OFDM severely suffers by Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) problems. A common solution for ICI reduction and throughput improvement has been proposed in this paper. This paper presents a novel technique to estimate CFO in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing systems using Viterbi and Viterbi (VAV) algorithm. The proposed method is blind with less complexity and more CFO estimation range. The estimation range mainly depends on the maximum number of phase angles possible for the constellation. In this paper the performance of the proposed algorithm is analyzed in terms of Probability of Symbol Error (PSE) versus SNR.
