Emily Bronte is a great writer, whose Wuthering Heights has become a classic and a must for students majoring in Humanities. Studies on Wuthering Heights at home or abroad have been numerous, and nearly all the critical theories in the twentieth century have been used in the interpretation of this work, andthe recently booming narrative theory is one of them. This thesis intends to explore the particularity of thenovel in the creation of suspense and the switching of narrator through the perspective of flashback in the narrative structure, hope to contribute a bit to the understanding of this novel.
