Preparation and Performance of SnS2:Cu(Ⅱ)/SnS thin film solar cells

摘要

SnS2, Cu(Ⅱ)-doped SnS2(SnS2:Cu(Ⅱ)) and SnS nanocrystals have been prepared by hydrothermal method. The related thin films and SnS2:Cu(Ⅱ)/SnS solar cells were then prepared by spray-coating technique. X-ray diffraction studies indicated the nanocrystal powder was good polycrystalline. UV-Vis and UV-Vis-NIR absorption properties investigation of these thin films showed that the direct and indirect band gaps of SnS2 and SnS are 2.74 eV, 1.98 eV and 1.2 eV,1.0 eV respectively. Optical study also showed the SnS2:Cu(Ⅱ) has the direct band gap 2.61 eV and indirect 1.60 eV. The photovoltaic analysis revealed SnS2:Cu(Ⅱ)/SnS solar cells gave short circuit photocurrent density (Jsc) of 40/μA/cm2, open circuit voltage (Voc) of 60 mV.
