A kitchen waste drying and recovery device, comprising a housing and, disposed within the housing, a drying apparatus, a dumping apparatus, a work box, a spray cleaning apparatus, a filter screen, a guide apparatus and a compressing and bagging apparatus; an operation screen and an input opening are disposed on the housing, the input opening is communicated with the dumping apparatus, and the work box is partitioned to form a filtering zone, a large-waste recovery zone and a kitchen waste recovery zone; the large-waste recovery zone is communicated with the filtering zone, and a bottom end surface of the large-waste recovery zone is lower than the filter screen of the filtering zone; the dumping apparatus is installed at one side of the work box, the guide apparatus is installed at the filtering zone, an output end of the drying apparatus is communicated with the kitchen waste recovery zone, the compressing and bagging apparatus is installed at the other side of the work box, and an input end of the compressing and bagging apparatus is communicated with the kitchen waste recovery zone. The kitchen waste drying and recovery device of the present application automatically performs recovery, rinsing, drying and bagging. Further disclosed is a kitchen waste recovery method.
