The simulation apparatus comprises a fuse (1), a circuit breaker (2), an arc striking apparatus (3), a Rogowski coil (4), a resistance-capacitance voltage divider (5), and a controller (6); the arc striking apparatus (3) comprises a high-voltage electrode and a grounding electrode; the Rogowski coil (4) measures a real-time signal value of current flowing through the arc striking apparatus (3); the two ends of the arc striking apparatus (3) are connected to the resistance-capacitance voltage divider (5) in parallel; the resistance-capacitance voltage divider (5) measures the voltage of the arc striking apparatus (3); the controller (6) records an electrode gap distance between the high-voltage electrode and a low-voltage electrode, and controls the high-voltage electrode to horizontally move so as to adjust an electrode gap distance between the high-voltage electrode and the grounding electrode; and the controller (6) determines, by comparing a set current signal value and the real-time signal value of the current measured by the Rogowski coil (4), the arcing or extinguishing of arc, and records the electrode gap distance at an arcing time and an arc extinguishing time. The simulation apparatus can record an arcing distance and an arc extinguishing distance, quantitatively simulates the change of an arc gap, and automatically determines the arcing or extinguishing of the arc.
