Internal combustion engine with one fuel tank (36),a tank ventilation line (38) and a venturi nozzle (30) provided in a fluid-conducting component (16),where the fluid-carrying component (16) and/or the venturi nozzle (30) have an inlet channel (28),having a downstream outlet (28) downstream of the inlet channel (40) having a fluidic connection to the tank ventilation line (38) and a downstream outlet (40) downstream of the outlet channel (32), wherein an outlet portion (48) of the venturi nozzle (30) downstream of the outlet point (40) is thus surrounded by the component (16), that a detection space (46) is formed around the outflow portion (48), wherein the detection space (46) has at least one inlet opening (50) over which the detection space (46) can be applied with pressure, characterized by this,that at least one pressure sensor (76) in a portion of the tank vent line (38, 38a) is so arranged and designed to detect a changing pressure in the tank vent line (38) due to a leak in the detection chamber (46).
