A sterilization control method for a kitchen air conditioner. An indoor unit of the kitchen air conditioner comprises: a shell (1), which is provided with an air outlet (11); a fan; and a sterilization device, which is mounted on the shell (1) and is arranged close to the air outlet (11), wherein the sterilization device can spray a sterilizing agent in the form of a mist. The sterilization control method comprises: acquiring a cumulative operating time of a stove in a kitchen and an interval time since a kitchen air conditioner last executed a sterilization operation; and selectively making the kitchen air conditioner execute the sterilization operation according to the cumulative operating time of the stove and the interval time. Further provided is a kitchen air conditioner. By means of the sterilization control method for the kitchen air conditioner, the kitchen can be sterilized in a timely manner, thereby ensuring the safety of the environment of the kitchen, and improving the use experience of a user.
