AUTONOMOUS PRODUCT COMMISSION SYSTEM AND PROCEDURE

An autonomous product picking system (100) includes product picking stations (108) at different locations within a plant (104),have call stations (300) with activation buttons (304) on a user interface (302) activated by an operator to transmit call requests when the products need to be picked up (106) and to transmit termination signals when the products have been picked up. An automatically controlled vehicle (102) moves within the system between the product collection stations and a product unloading station (110). A system control module (120) controls the AGV within the plant and includes a system communication module (122),which is communicatively connected to the AGV and the call stations. The system communication module receives the call requests and termination signals from the call stations when the activation buttons are activated.
