The present invention relates to a fire partition element suitable and intended for forming a fire separation wall or a fire door leaf installed in a building or a structure, said element comprising a metal protective shell (1) defining an inner filling space (2) and a firestop filling structure (3, 4) contained in the inner filling space, the protective shell having an inner surface (10) surrounding the inner filling space. The filling structure comprises a functional product (3) able to produce or release one or more fire-extinguishing substances under the effect of a temperature increase reaching or going beyond a temperature threshold and at least one flexible insulating block (4) forming a thermal insulation and having an outer surface (40). The functional product is applied by spreading, in one or more superimposed layers, with a predetermined thickness according to the desired fire resistance, on the inner surface and/or on the outer surface (40) of the or at least one of the flexible insulating blocks (4). The invention also relates to a leaf formed by such an element and a fire door comprising at least one such leaf.
