The present invention relates to a method for obtaining a whole genome sequence for determining whether a subject is infected with SARS-coronavirus-2, and a use thereof. A method, a kit, and a composition according to the present invention include a universal primer set capable of amplifying a genome sequence of the SARS-coronavirus-2, and accordingly, can be used to easily and quickly confirm the presence or absence of a target SARS-coronavirus-2 in a sample and easily and quickly confirm related diseases. In addition, the method, kit, and composition can be used to determine mutations of novel SARS-coronavirus-2 through whole genome analysis, and thus can be effectively used in the identification of novel SARS-coronavirus-2.
