The invention relates to a mason's ruler comprising a parallelepiped ruler body (1), characterised in that: - the ruler body (1) is modular, formed from at least two abutting rigid profile sections (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d), - the profile sections (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) having hollow abutting ends, - the profile sections (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) are assembled together by means of a connector (2) that fits into the abutting ends of the profile sections, - the profile sections (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) and the connector (2) are configured such that, when the profile sections are abutting and assembled, their outer surfaces are flush.
