A steam turbine vane includes a blade body portion having a blade surface including a pressure surface and a suction surface, a moisture removal channel disposed in the blade body portion, at least one slot open to the blade surface to communicate with the moisture removal channel, and extending along a height direction from a base end portion to an outer end portion of the blade body portion, and at least one groove portion disposed in the blade surface and extending from the base end portion along the height direction, wherein at least a part of the at least one groove portion forms the at least one slit along the Elevation direction overlapped.
