Process for the preparation of a porous and nitrogenous carbonaceous material with metal dopant, in particular useful as a catalyst for the reduction of oxygen (ORR) The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a porous nitrogenous and carbonaceous material by at least one metal dopant comprising at least the steps consisting in (a) having a solvent medium containing in solution, at least one aldehyde, a hydroxybenzene derivative and a hydrocarbon compound which is a source of nitrogen atoms and in addition at least one precursor of said metallic dopant, (b) activating a sol-gel polymerization at the level of said solvent medium of step (a) to form a nitrogenous carbon hydrogel containing at least at the core of said metallic precursor, (c) having a form drying said nitrogenous carbon hydrogel formed in step (b) and, (d) pyrolyzing said dry form in an inert atmosphere to form a nitrogenous porous carbonaceous material charged at least to the core with at least one metal dopant and the re Figure for abstract: None
