摘要
The magnetic heat pump (100) comprises magnetocaloric members (1), an impeller (2), deformation members (3), a casing (4), an electric motor (5), and a magnetic field generation unit (6). The impeller (2) has accommodation chambers (2C) that are formed along a circumferential direction relative to a center axis (CA) and that accommodate the magnetocaloric members (1). The deformation members (3) face the accommodation chambers and undergo changes in shape individually. The casing (4) has formed therein: an internal space that accommodates the magnetocaloric members, the impeller, and the deformation members, a heat transportation medium flowing through the internal space; a first inflow port (P1); and a first outflow port (P2) positioned so as to be set apart by a gap from the first inflow port in the circumferential direction. The electric motor (5) causes the magnetocaloric members, the impeller, and the deformation members to integrally rotate in a first direction (A) from the first inflow port toward the first outflow port in the circumferential direction. The magnetic field generation unit (6) generates a magnetic field in a first region of the internal space, the first region extending from the first inflow port to the first outflow port in the first direction, and the magnetic field gaining strength along the first direction. The shapes of the deformation members change individually in association with rotation. The volume of the accommodation chambers increases and decreases individually in association with changes in the shape of the deformation members. The volume when the accommodation chamber is positioned in the first region is greater than the volume when the accommodation chamber is positioned in a second region and also is greater than the volume when the accommodation chamber is positioned in a third region that is positioned further forward in the first direction than the first outflow port.
