A two wheeled vehicle suspension linkage includes a suspended body 1, a wheel carrier body 2, and link bodies 3,4,5, and 6 operatively coupled with one another to form a six-bar linkage. A damper unit 16 resists movement of the linkage. An idler cog 56 is operatively connected to suspended body 1 and is positioned relative to a pivotal connection or instantaneous pivot centre of the linkage. A chain or belt 57 is routed in a loop around a driven cog 52, the idler cog 56 and a driving cog 55 so that driving cog 55 transmits the chain force to the driven cog 57 via the idler cog 56. The driving cog may be rotated by human power, a motor, or by combined motor and human power. The addition of the idler cog allows for independent tuning of the anti-squat percentage and the axle path. Independent claims define pivots above the driving cog 55, and locations of instantaneous pivot centres relative to the driving cog 55.
