The present invention relates to a novel pharmaceutical formulation which provides sustained release in multiple-unit dosage form by bimodal in vitro release comprising acemetacin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with problems in the musculoskeletal system.
