To provide a wind velocity distribution estimating device and a wind velocity distribution estimating method which can easily and accurately estimate a wind velocity distribution in a wide area.SOLUTION: Provided is a wind velocity distribution estimating device 1 for estimating a wind velocity distribution in the surrounding of a building. The wind velocity distribution estimating device 1 comprises: a whole area division unit 50 for dividing a whole area that is the object for estimation of a wind velocity distribution into a plurality of individual areas so as to have overlap portions that mutually overlap; a wind velocity distribution estimation unit 21 for estimating the wind velocity distribution in the plurality of individual areas; a weight setting unit 51 in which weights are individually set to each of the plurality of individual areas, for each overlap point that is a point included in the overlap portion; an estimation result adjustment unit 52 for calculating an estimation result in which the wind velocity at the overlap point is adjusted, on the basis of the weight and the estimation result of wind velocity distribution at the overlap point; and an estimation result combining unit 53 for combining the estimation results of wind velocity distributions in the plurality of individual areas on the basis of the adjusted estimation results to generate the estimation result of wind velocity distribution in the whole area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
