A method for cooling an internal combustion engine (20) of a vehicle, comprising: measuring a first temperature of a cylinder head (21) of the internal combustion engine (20) (S20); determining whether the first temperature of the cylinder head (21) is equal to or lower than a first predetermined temperature (K1) is (S30); when the first temperature of the cylinder head (21) is equal to or lower than the first predetermined temperature (K1): moving a coolant of the cylinder head (21) and a cylinder block (22) into a coolant tank (500) (S40); determining whether a second temperature of the cylinder head (21) is equal to or higher than a second predetermined temperature (K2) (S50); andif the second temperature of the cylinder head (21) is equal to or higher than the second predetermined temperature (K2): supplying the coolant stored in the coolant tank (500) to the cylinder head (21) or the cylinder block (22) (S60) characterized in that moving the coolant of the cylinder head (21) and the cylinder block (22) into the coolant reservoir (500) comprises: stopping an operation of an electronic coolant pump configured to circulate the coolant in a coolant line (100); opening an air hole Solenoid valve (300) connected to the coolant line (100) for selectively supplying outside air thereto; closing a coolant shut-off solenoid valve (400) configured to selectively supply the coolant to a radiator (40); and actuating a coolant control piston (600) and adjusting a supply of the coolant.
