A tracking processing device (1) is configured such that each of a plurality of computers (12-m-n) is provided with: a plurality of cost calculation units (22) that perform parallel processing to calculate, from a track included in one hypothesis and observed positions of one or more targets, a plurality of cost elements included in a cost matrix for the track in relation to the observed positions of the one or more targets; a plurality of target assignment units (23) that perform parallel processing to determine, on the basis of the plurality of cost elements calculated by the plurality of cost calculation units (22), a plurality of combinations of targets to be assigned to individual times in the track among the one or more targets; and a hypothesis output unit (24) that, for each of the plurality of combinations determined by the plurality of target assignment units (23), generates a track from the observed positions of the targets at the individual times included in that combination, and outputs a hypothesis including the generated track as an updated hypothesis.
