A spiral photonic crystal-based organic light emitting diode color display device according to an embodiment of the present invention is located above the backlight unit and includes a plurality of spiral photonic crystal patterns for selectively transmitting light of a specific wavelength band output from the light source unit spiral photonic crystal layer; and a color filter unit positioned on the spiral photonic crystal layer and including a plurality of color filter patterns. The spiral photonic crystal layer selectively transmits only a specific wavelength band before the white light output from the light source unit reaches the color filter and reduces light in the remaining wavelength band, thereby improving the color purity of the color output from the display device.
