An object of the present invention is to provide a switchable polarizing lens that is thin and light in weight and can be manufactured at low cost, a method of manufacturing the same, and a 2D/3D image display device having the same. The switchable polarizing lens of the present invention includes a birefringent lens and a monorefringent lens. The birefringent lens has a plurality of convex portions, is stretched in any one of the transverse direction and the longitudinal direction, and has a first refractive index that is a refractive index in the stretching direction and a second refractive index that is a refractive index in the non-stretch direction. The monorefringent lens has a plurality of concave portions for flattening the concave portion formed by the plurality of convex portions of the birefringent lens, and has the same refractive index as the second refractive index.
