PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foaming composition for cake dough having high foaming property. A foaming composition for cake dough, which comprises phytic acid as an active ingredient. Further, a foaming composition for cake dough containing a thickener selected from carboxymethyl cellulose, LM pectin and HM pectin. [Effect] Since it has a high foaming property, it is possible to reduce the specific gravity of the cake dough.
