The present invention relates to a method for producing cake decoration dough, and to cake decoration dough produced through the same. The method according to the present invention comprises: a water heating and preparing step (S100) of heating water at a predetermined temperature to make kneading ingredients easily mixed and kneaded; a dough producing step (S200) of producing dough by mixing the heated water and the kneading ingredients; a microwave heating step (S300) of heating the dough by using microwaves of a microwave; a first punching step (S400) of applying pressure to the dough heated by the microwaves; an additive producing step (S500) of producing an additive mixed with the firstly punched dough; a second punching step (S600) of mixing the additive with the firstly punched dough, and applying pressure to the dough; an emulsifying and third punching step (S700) of adding butter in the secondly punched dough, and applying pressure to the dough; and a decoration producing step (S800) of producing a decoration used in decorating a cake by using the punched dough mixed with the butter. According to the present invention, excellent preservation is ensured, and dough, while being molded, does not stick to a hand. Also, cake decoration dough showing excellent elasticity and agglutinability can be produced.
