PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated positive electrode active material particle for a lithium ion battery capable of suppressing a side reaction occurring between an electrolytic solution and a coated positive electrode active material particle and preventing an increase in an internal resistance value of the lithium ion battery. SOLUTION: The coated positive electrode active material particles for a lithium ion battery have at least a part of the surface of the positive electrode active material particles coated with a coating layer, and the coating layer comprises a polymer compound, a conductive auxiliary agent and ceramic particles.
