A preparation comprising electrolytes for ungulate animals, especially horses comprises calcium chloride hexahydrate CaCl2x6H2O in an amount of 8-11 g, potassium hydrogen phosphate trihydrate K2HPO4 x 3H2O in an amount of 18-26 g, potassium chloride KCl in an amount of 18-25 g, sodium chloride NaCl in an amount of 28-36 g, tri-sodium citrate dihydrate in an amount of 100-120 g, magnesium citrate nonahydrate in an amount of 25-35 g, glycerol 86% (plant-based) in an amount of 180-230.00 g and purified water in an amount sufficient to make up to 1000 g, and a substance for improving taste and aroma, a coloring agent, a preservative in the form of sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, and an antioxidant in the form of sodium ascorbate. A method for producing the preparation consists in dissolving the components of the preparation in water having a temperature of 60°C in the following sequence: tri-sodium citrate dihydrate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, glycerol 86%, di-potassium hydrogen phosphate trihydrate, magnesium citrate nonahydrate, whereupon the resulting solution is cooled down to a temperature of 20°C and calcium chloride hexahydrate, dissolved in 100 g of water in the temperature of 20°c, is added. After adding the xanthan gum and homogenization, the preparation may take the gel form.
