[Problem] To provide a notepad and paper capable of increasing work efficiency and learning efficiency by unobtrusively inducing the directing of a user's gaze. [Solution] The notepad according to a first aspect of the present invention is obtained by applying gaze-directing marks to limit the stalling of a user's gaze in a partial region of the page space of a sheet of paper. The notepad according to a second aspect of the present invention is a notepad provided with paper having ruled lines that suggest lines on the page space, wherein gaze-directing marks are applied along a slanted region that intersects at an angle with the ruled lines. The notepad according to a third aspect of the present invention is a notepad provided with paper having multiple ruled lines extending in the left-right direction on the page space, wherein gaze-directing marks are applied along an slanted region that extends from the upper right to the lower left of the page space. The paper according to a fourth aspect of the present invention is obtained by applying, on the page space, ruled lines that suggest lines and gaze-directing marks disposed along a slanted region that intersects at an angle with the ruled lines.
