To the use of isopropyl β-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-α-hydroxypropionate (IDHP) in the manufacture of a medicament or health product for the prevention and treatment of coronary atherosclerotic disease. IDHP also inhibits platelet aggregation, promotes angiogenesis, and can be used to manufacture drugs and health products for the prevention and treatment of senile vascular dementia.
