To provide: a recombinant protein which has an improved function of preventing or treating tissue fibrosis compared to the conventional bovine milk fat globule-EGF factor 8 (MFG-E8) protein, and thus has an anti-tissue fibrosis function so that the level of tissue fibrosis can be restored to a level very close to the normal level; and a composition comprising the recombinant protein.SOLUTION: A recombinant protein for preventing or treating tissue fibrosis is recombined based on MFG-E8 protein and comprises a specific amino acid sequence.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
