The present invention provides a method of continuous casting of steel through control of the refractory material stage change of the immersion nozzle to prevent defects in the steel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the continuous casting method of the steel material, based on the defect occurrence rate of the steel, determining the speed of the refractory material stage change of the refractory material constituting the immersion nozzle in the molten steel; checking the mold level stability of the molten steel; and checking the flow rate of the molten steel.
