The present invention relates to the use of rare earth oxysulfides in a greenhouse film for plant growth, in particular for increasing fruit and/or flower development, wherein the film comprises at least a matrix and a rare earth oxysulfide. Said invention also refers to a film comprising at least a matrix and said oxysulfide, in particular for plant growth, and the use of a film comprising at least a matrix and said oxysulfide in a greenhouse for plant growth.
