Provided is a preparation method for coated alloy wire, comprising the following steps: performing continuous heat treatment on the alloy wire rods to obtain the continuously heat-treated alloy wire rods, then performing surface treatment on the continuously heat-treated alloy wire rods to obtain the alloy core material; continuously extruding the cladding metal layer on the surface of the alloy core material to form the coated wire; performing the bimetallic synchronous drawing on the coated wire to prepare the coated alloy wire. This method uses a continuous heat treatment furnace to obtain the alloy wire rods with well-matched strength and elongation, and combines with surface treatment to improve the bonding force between the alloy core material and the coated material, finally, the elongation of the coated alloy wire is improved by the bimetallic synchronous drawing, and the hardness difference of the cross section of the coated alloy wire is reduced.
