To provide an appearance inspection system which can easily set a route when imaging an object by making the relative position of an imaging device to the object different.SOLUTION: A determination unit determines a plurality of candidates of the relative positions of an imaging device to an object for each inspection target position on the object, the candidates of the relative positions being positions where the lens module can be focused on the inspection target positions. A selection unit selects relative positions one by one from the candidates of the relative positions corresponding to the inspection target positions, respectively, and selects one of a plurality of candidates of routes which satisfies a predetermined requirement as a specified route, the candidates of routes being generated by sequentially connecting the selected relative positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
