A method for predicting an E. coli outer membrane protein and a system for performing the method are disclosed. This method first predicts the target outer membrane protein located in the outer membrane based on the intracellular location analysis using the gene information of E. coli, and selects the candidate outer membrane protein based on the expected amino acid quantity in the transmembrane helix among the target outer membrane proteins. do. Thereafter, the candidate outer membrane proteins other than the secreted protein are selected from the candidate outer membrane proteins, and a candidate outer membrane protein, which is a lipid protein, is predicted as the E. coli outer membrane protein.
