The present invention relates to a Leuconostoc lactis WiKim48 (Leuconostoc lactis WiKim48; accession number KFCC11695P) isolated from kimchi and a composition comprising the same. Leukonostok lactis WiKim48 according to the present invention is a probiotic having the ability to produce phenyllactic acid, and can be used in various ways for use in human or animal suits, immunity strengthening, and the like. Furthermore, it can be usefully used as a starter for fermented foods.
