Mass spectrometric sample preparation for matrix-supported ionisation (e.g. MALDI)

The invention refers to the preparation of samples for mass spectrometry with matrix-supported ionization (e.g. MALDI),in particular with the matrix material 2,5-dihydryacetophenone (DHAP),and includes the preparation of samples in microvases with the addition of beads or other solid bodies. This allows a particularly good mixing of the microvases by shaking (Vortexen) on the one hand, and on the other hand the matrix material can already be crystallised in the liquid. For example, there are about five to 15 glass spheres of 0.5 millimetres diameter,friction between them and on the vascular wall after about one to two minutes starts clouding a DHAP solution with tiny crystalline germs. This allows the fully automatic preparation of a large number of samples at the same time, including pipeting on sample carrier plates using a pipette and shaker robot.
