When cyclohexanedimethanol (Cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM)) is produced by hydrogenation of cyclohexanedimethanol (Cyclohexane dicarbonic acid, CHDA) on an aqueous solution of a carbon-coated supported catalyst, the reaction rate and reaction rate are faster than those of conventional catalysts.
