PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information related to a fish which is confined in a limited range by a method whose processing amount is smaller than before.SOLUTION: This cycle conversion device converts measurement data of a time region indicating the information of the existence of a fish which is confined in a limited range and a water depth to the information of a cycle at each water depth, and acquires water-depth/cycle data. The cycle conversion device can be used for a fish species discrimination support device and a monitoring device as a frequency conversion part. The fish species discrimination support device comprises a recording part, a cycle conversion part and a fish species discrimination part. The recording part records fish species data in which a fish species is associated with a water depth range and a cycle range. The fish species discrimination part discriminates the fish species by using the fish species data from the water-depth/cycle data. The monitoring device comprises the recording part, the cycle conversion part and a state determination part. The recording part records state data in which a health state of the fish is associated with a water depth range and a cycle range. The state determination part determines the health state of the fish from the water-depth/cycle data by using the state data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
