The present invention relates to a protection device for a distribution line in a mountainous area, and includes a lifting platform, a lifting drive means, a one-stage expansion and contraction mechanism, a two-stage expansion and contraction mechanism, a washing water spray pipe and a washing water spray nozzle, including the inside as well as the outside of the suspension insulator. The distribution line can be safely protected by reliably removing foreign substances deposited in all directions, and it can be easily installed without components that need to be buried as deep as the height of the pylon, and the suspension insulator installed on the pylon in the mountain area is cleaned. This makes it suitable for protecting distribution lines in mountainous areas, and allows the washing water spray nozzle to be effectively moved between the washing position and the standby position.
