To provide an epoch-making combustor exhibiting a novel action effect.SOLUTION: A combustor comprises: a vertically long primary combustion chamber 1 having at one end part a fuel introduction part 6 for introducing a rod-like fuel material 60, and having a predetermined length toward the other end part; and a secondary combustion chamber 2 having a length in the same direction as the primary combustion chamber 1, and provided below the primary combustion chamber 1. The primary combustion chamber 1 and the secondary combustion chamber 2 are provided so as to communicate with each other through a gas introduction passage 3 provided on the other end part side. Combustible gas occurring in the primary combustion chamber 1 is introduced into the secondary combustion chamber 2 through the gas introduction passage 3, and combustible gas introduced into the secondary combustion chamber 2 circulates to the one end part side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
